Job description

The Compliance Support Officer provides administrative support to the School Compliance team, and other areas within OPSEC as required. The School Compliance team makes a significant contribution to school education in Victoria through supporting government schools to meet the Minimum Standards for School Registration (including the Child Safe Standards), thereby ensuring high-quality educational provision and a safe learning environment for students.
Providing support in records management, data entry and monitoring system use will be key elements of this role. The role requires high attention to detail as well as a willingness to work with other team members to support the tracking and assessment of school compliance.
The role will also provide ad-hoc administrative support as required, including for special projects such as monitoring school websites for policy updates and supporting the transition to new data management systems. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate problem solving, planning and organising skills, and will work effectively as a team member and independently.
The Compliance Support Officer will support regular reporting on the progress and outcomes of compliance assessments, the preparation of executive and Ministerial correspondence, briefings and papers, and system improvements.
At times this role may involve working with other team members to support individual Victorian government schools to comply with the Minimum Standards for school registration and to update their local school policies.From time to time, the Compliance Support Officer may need to assist with the work of other teams within OPSEC.The role reports to the Lead Advisor, School Compliance and will undertake other duties as required.
