About the RoleWe are seeking qualified nursing staff (EN & RN) to provide one-on-one support and care to NDIS & NIISQ Participants helping them achieve their goals and enhancing their independence. Reporting to the Client Services Manager the successful candidates will play a key role as part of the Complex Care and Clinical Team.
The role involves comprehensive nursing care responsibilities aimed at providing high-quality care to clients. This includes direct nursing care, coordination with other health professionals on technical procedures, and active participation in client assessments and care planning. Nurses also support clinical operations by assisting visiting health professionals, upholding client rights, and fostering client independence through holistic care.
Providing in-service training for care staff, in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse, ensures that the team is well-informed, and practices are aligned with the latest standards. Nurses play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing clinical procedures, adhering to organizational policies, and contributing to their development.
Documentation is a significant part of the nursing duties, encompassing various reports and logs that support risk management and positive behaviour support strategies. Compliance with legislation, professional guidelines, and practices is essential, particularly in areas such as occupational health and safety, infection control, risk management and clinical services.
Customer service is also a priority, with nurses maintaining open communication with clients and responding to inquiries from residents and their families. This approach fosters a supportive and cooperative environment, receptive to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
About you- Have direct experience within a personalised service delivery environment for clients with a disability and proficiency in clinical nursing, rehabilitation, disability, and community nursing including working with complex client needs and behaviour management.
- Possess strong organizational, time management, and leadership abilities.
- Have an acute understanding of the NDIS/NIISQ, including scheme intent, pricing structures and service offerings, understanding the inherent requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the NDIA including the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Standards and the Disability Act 2010, Human Rights Act
- Be adept in conflict resolution, addressing crises with timeliness and professionalism.
- Possess exceptional communications and collaboration skills, including strong interpersonal skills, relationship and stakeholder engagement.
- Be dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives and be recognised in their communities by delivering safe, high-quality support for positive client outcomes, promoting workforce excellence and ensuring safe, positive work environments, upholding the business's core values of kindness, innovation, and collective impact.
- Show demonstrated proficiency in literacy, numeracy, practical communication skills, report writing and the recording of data and information.
- Familiar with general computer operations, including Microsoft Office suite, with a willingness to learn including new CRM platforms and proficient with assistive technology for administrative tasks.
- Nursing background: Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance.
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules.
