Job description

ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is looking for an experienced, highly-motivated and career-oriented person to fill the position of Compliance Team Leader (SOGC), within Custodial Operations.
The successful applicant will provide a high level of advice to the Assistant Commissioner, Custodial Operations on a range of compliance and secretariat issues, providing high quality reports, submissions and correspondence on several complex issues relation to the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) and the Court Transport Unit (CTU).
Further to this, you will provide information, data and operational advice in relation to conducting, interpreting and reporting on compliance and audit processes and, when directed, review identified or suspected incidents of non-compliance. You will also be responsible for coordinating the complaints process for detainees.
In addition, you will collect, analyse and interpret data, generate reports and inform policy and procedure development to comply with relevant legislation and government priorities.
To be successful, you will be required to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to strong leadership and management skills. You will also have the ability to draft high level workplace documents.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
1.The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check.
2.A minimum of a Class ‘C’ Driver’s licence is desirable.
3.This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
4.This position requires a Working with Vulnerable People registration.
