Job description

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including disability, housing and Mental Health services.

The Mental Health teams are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to lead the quality, data and Operations of the Mental Health service line. This newly developed role has been designed to lead the quality improvement, Compliance and data driven decision making across the Mental Health programs. This role focuses on preparing the Mental Health teams for government commissioning (procurement) and regularly Compliance and accreditation, with an emphasis on data creation, exploration and analysis.

  • Full time, fixed term appointment to 31July 2025
  • Salary of WCS 7 $102,883.10 – $107,422.64 pa plus 11% Superannuation

The Team Leader will enhance our Mental Health programs by: 

  • Contribute to the preparatory activities and data collection for Government Commissioning.
  • Lead quality improvement activities to maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance. 
  • Create, implement, and review policies, procedures and information to guide service delivery across the Mental Health line. 
  • Create and enhance data across the Mental Health programs to demonstrate KPIs, achievements and meet reporting requirements for funding bodies.
  • Review and enhance feedback mechanisms through participant surveys and the service user engagement group. 
  • Create and implement quality improvement activities, including internal auditing for continuous improvement.
  • Complete monthly data extracts and uploads for program reporting requirements. 
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively investigating and contributing to tenders and grant applicants for new and existing funding.
  • Maintaining our regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements for all programs. 

To be successful for this role you must possess the following:

  • Certificate IV in community services and/or business administration with minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role and a minimum.
  • Sound auditing skills and ability to analyse identified gaps in quality standards.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of quality management systems and relevant quality standards to effectively support staff in achieving compliance.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office suite, particularly excel, as well as CRM systems and government data portals.
  • Proven ability to create, analyse and maintain data to guide the Mental Health leadership team in strategic and business decision making.
