The Role
Expressway Spares is looking for a full-time Component Rebuild Mechanic to join our team in our brand-new, purpose-built facility in High Wycombe.
Fitted out with massive 7x8 metre work bays, 2t swing cranes in each bay and 10 and 20 tonne overhead cranes. New tooling and equipment, such as a Large 200t rolling bed press, wheel stud and bearing presses. T6 & T7 Turbowash machines, Acid Bath and a large indoor wash pad.
Predominantly working on Caterpillar & Hitachi components such as
- Front & Rear wheel groups
- Diffs
- Torque Converters
- Final drives
- Brakes
- Pumps and Pump Drives
- Steering Clutches

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and participate in a safe work environment
- Dismantling Components for the purpose of
- Strip down inspection
- Repair assessment
- Reporting
- parts assessment utilising OEM software equivalents such as SIS
- Failure analysis
- Improvement recommendations
- Assembly of the reconditioned components while
- using safe work and OEM methods
- completing QC documentation
- Production of a quality product with expectation of extended life
Desired Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in Component Rebuilds or machine rebuilds
- Trade qualification
- OEM systems operating experience desirable but not essential
- Hold a valid Driver’s Licence
- current Forklift Ticket desirable but not essential
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical
