We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Compressor Technical Field Advisor / Field Service Engineer to join the Siemens Energy team in Australia. Flexibility exists to base yourself in the vicinity of any of Australia's major cities which promotes excellent work life balance and the ability to mobilise with ease throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
During outage work, conducted at both offshore platforms or onshore industrial facilities, you will take the lead role in scheduled and breakdown maintenance of both OEM and non-OEM Compressors. Each day, in the field, is a dynamic mix of problem-solving, hands-on work, and collaboration, ensuring the seamless operation of critical industrial equipment.

Your profile
- Siemens certification and/or direct experience overhauling turbo and reciprocating compressors is essential
- Advanced proficiency in precision measurement techniques
- Excellent and professional communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
- Willingness to travel to isolated and/or remote work locations, on & offshore, execute installation and maintenance activities under time pressure
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently or with multinational groups of personnel through shift rotations
- Possess an excellent understanding of HSE and Quality requirements and standards in the related field of work
- Ability to complete offshore survival training
Your responsibilities
- Actively support outage preparation activities with project engineers, project managers, tooling facilities engineers, outage managers, HSE professionals and customers
- Prepare daily shift activities to ensure clean shift handover and transitions with peers, lead them, and communicate clearly on job requirements to other personnel
- Provide technical direction and/or direct supervision to client and/or Siemens Energy employees.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks in accordance with required specifications and quality, incl. documentation, timely submission of check sheets, test procedures, spare parts lists, daily shift activities, status reports, and field reports.
- Maintain the highest level of a zero-harm culture by following and enforcing all company and customer EHS policies and programs
- Interact with different levels of customer and Siemens organizations to report progress, resolve issues, and identify potential services to be offered based on customer needs.
- Communicate progress, schedules, and open items with client including preparation of detailed technical reports
- Assist in tendering for service contracts or new plant contracts
