Confectionary Coordinator

We are a member of the Distributors Group, and we are Australia’s largest distributor of Schweppes drinks. We sell products from over one hundred suppliers including Schweppes, Smiths, Mars, Arnotts, Nestle, Cadbury and many more.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Confectionary Coordinator to join our team at the Traralgon Warehouse, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Confectionary operations, you will be reportable to the Warehouse Manager as well as the General Manager and Director of the Business.

The role will be responsible for the employees in the Confectionary section as well as all the products in the confectionery area. This includes all the ordering for the confectionary stock and ensuring confectionary stock is picked and packed for the vehicles to be loaded for delivery as well receipting and checking of inwards goods and ensuring the Confectionary section runs efficiently and effectively whilst ensuring policies/procedures and best practice standards are met. 

This is a full time Monday to Friday position. 

 The successful applicant will:

• Possess the ability to communicate effectively.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the confectionary, including coordination of the confectionary team, ordering, receiving, storing and distribution of confectionary goods.
• Ensure the efficient, effective use of confectionary space, equipment, and resources with reduction in costs and improving efficiency at front of mind.
• Drive a safe culture, leading by example.
• Lead the team to achieve high performance, delivering efficient confectionary operations to ensure the customers’ needs are met.
• Identify key areas for improvement to the confectionary function, make recommendations to the Managers and execute improvement projects as directed.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable team member with the following skills & experience:

• Forklift Licence is desirable.
• Proven experience within a Warehouse Management position.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing new processes to improve warehouse efficiency.
• Effective communication skills.
• Honest.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Suitable time management and the ability to work under pressure.
• Trustworthy.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work, with an ability to lead by example.
• Fantastic work ethic, and ability to lead a team.
• Computer skills essential.
