What's the job?
As C&E Operations Manager, you’ll manage all Conference Events and ensure quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience, while always following government regulations concerning health, safety or other requirements.
Your day to day
Oversee daily activities, manage staffing, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Your role will involve developing and coaching team members, setting performance goals, and ensuring compliance with our standards. You will also assist in recruiting and onboarding new colleagues, attend weekly BEO meetings, and provide flexibility to support R&B venues as needed.
In this role, you will monitor beverage stock controls, identify additional sales opportunities, and handle financial transactions securely. Collaborating with the F&B Operations Manager, you will manage labor expenses and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Your responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness of event spaces, addressing maintenance needs, and achieving guest satisfaction goals. You will also build relationships with clients, support Event Planners, and ensure compliance with grooming standards. Join us to lead our team and enhance our Conference and event services.
What we need from you
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations.
Ideally you will have:
Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management, Conference & Events, or related field plus 4+ years of related experience, including management experience.
Must speak local language
You must have the ability to relocate and live on Hayman Island, QLD and commence position by 30 June 2024
What we offer
Annual salary package of $75,000 + super on a permanent full time contract (Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement 2023) with a minimum of of 40 hours per week must have appropriate working right
