About the role
The Professor of Midwifery is a joint initiative between the University of Technology Sydney (UTS 0.58FTE) and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD 0.42FTE). The Professor of Midwifery will contribute to the advancement of evidence-based midwifery research and practice.
You will contribute to the teaching and learning in the discipline of Midwifery while leading engagement and partnership activities and undertaking research projects. In this role you will contribute towards the achievement of the strategic goals of both UTS and the NSLHD.
About You
As a Professor, you will have extensive teaching and supervisory experience at undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and research) levels. Prior teaching experience includes face-to-face and fully online teaching. You will have superior leadership skills, particularly in relation to the engagement and development of research teams and collaborative relationships.
You will also have:
- A PhD in Midwifery and registration as a midwife
- An extensive track-record in attracting external competitive research funding, supervising higher degree research students
Base Salary Range: $213,931 pa (Level E)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
The position is full-time on a 3-year fixed term basis.
