Anglicare provides the Housing Connect Front Door Service across Tasmania. Housing Connect is the entry point for assistance for people who are experiencing homelessness or are in housing need.

About the Role:
We are seeking a community services professional with expertise in assessing individual circumstances and connecting them with the appropriate opportunities available to them. This role requires good people and problem-solving skills.
To be successful you will have:
- Expertise in conducting assessments that consider a holistic understanding of the person’s circumstances to tailor the response.
- A high level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities and community service system pathways for the individual.
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships across the community service system.
- Understanding of Tasmania’s current housing market and the difficulties facing people on a low income trying to secure housing.
- Experience in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated time and workload management skills
- High-level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to maintain accurate, professional case notes.
The Connection Coach:
- Undertakes the initial and comprehensive engagement and assessment process for people seeking assistance with Housing Connect.
- Provide information and advice and address immediate needs
- Coach and support service users
- Facilitate people's access to specialist services and other opportunities, networks and resources.

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
