Construction Estimator

Job Description: 

We are a well-established Sydney Based Residential and Commercial Builder who has built a strong business base in high-end custom residential homes & commercial refurbishments. an opportunity for a full-time Estimator has opened. 

The ideal candidate must have a strong eye for detail, excellent numeracy skills and business acumen with 2+ years experience in Estimating along with a thorough understanding of Residential construction processes. 

Requirements:

You need to be hard-working, efficient in time management with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

• 2+ years experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes
• Multi-tasking skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Impeccable problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office
• Must have clear written and verbal English
• Working with Children Check will be required
• Full working rights in Australia
• estimation on buildertrend software

Duties Include: 

• Review and evaluate cost estimates
• Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
• Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
• Ensure timely completion of estimates
• Understand the scope of work to bid
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors
• Prepare cost analysis
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Issue ETS/overrun purchase orders
• Review quotes and allocate suppliers
• Complete bill of quantities
• Issue purchase orders and documentation to relevant trade/supplier
• Undertake BOQ checks
• Maintain master plan BOQ's
• Maintain trade/supplier pricing
• Undertake material/labour comparison
• Maintain trade/supplier scope of works
• Providing customer pricing items to Pre-construction coordination, sales team, and colour selections
• Attending preliminary meetings
• Complete Quote and Inclusions checks
• Quote and Builds checks
• Maintain retail pricing and margins
• Any other duties as assigned

Remuneration package based on experience.
