The Role

Based at our Head Office in Hindmarsh, the Construction Procurement Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely procurement of materials for site-based staff. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will support both the Procurement Manager and Construction team through ensuring material orders are placed with the correct suppliers in an accurate and timely manner.   

The role is ideally suited to someone with contracts administration or project financial administration experience. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders for site management staff per their requests with preferred vendors
  • Liaise with Procurement Manager to ensure correct suppliers are utilised and correct pricing is applied for purchase orders 
  • Follow up with suppliers on discrepancies
  • Process invoices for approval
  • General Project Administration
  • General/ad hoc support to Construction and Project Managers, Procurement Manager, and Management Accountant

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Jobpac, and Aconex
  • Construction industry experience is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities 
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines
