A&J Air is a privately owned commercial HVAC, refrigeration and beer system company based in Newcastle. With continuing company growth, we require an enthusiastic and team centered estimator / Project Manager to join our construction division.
Whether you are an experience estimator / Project Manager or looking to take the next step in your career, we have an exciting role that will see you acquiring new business, submitting estimates for large scale projects and leading a high performing team of technicians and subcontractors to achieve our customer's desired outcomes.
Salary is dependent on experience and is reviewed on a regular basis. The successful candidate with also have future opportunities to learn and progress their career.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of estimates and tender submissions in consultation with clients, consultants & other key stakeholders.
- Project management of commercial air-conditioning projects (ranging from $10k - $400k) to completion, ensuring that each project is delivered within the nominated timeframe, and that costing & financial budgets are adhered to.
- Attend project site coordination meetings, identify project variances, implement corrective actions & provide subsequent project reporting.
- Project scheduling; staff, resources, subcontractors, and logistics.
- Maintain A&J Air's high standards of site safety, complying with all relevant local legal regulations.
Skills and experience
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
- Project Management experience within the commercial HVAC market preferred but not essential.
- Project estimating experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent client & stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative and team-focused approach.
