The Gig
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a motivated, commercially astute Civil Construction Manager with outstanding leadership skills to lead a team of engineers/superintendents across civil and Industrial Landform Projects . With a solid plan of ongoing growth, you will support the development and expansion of the Civil Industrial and Infrastructure Division.
As a Senior Leader, your primary goal is to lead a team of 10 engineers, managing budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. You will also support all staff and be part of the Senior Leadership team, promoting the business culture, vision, and goals across all disciplines.
Based in Sydney’s Northwest, and reporting to the Head of Construction and Infrastructure, you will ply your trade to be trusted with:
- Preparing budgets, resources, and business forecasts for the construction team
- Conducting performance reviews and development plans to support staff growth
- Planning, executing, and completing projects on time and within budget
- Coordinating team members and contractors to deliver projects as planned
- Leading and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals
- Preparing and implementing the construction management plan for all project phases
- Managing daily project activities, resources, and budgets
- Reporting on project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues to leadership
- Preparing fee proposals for new projects and contract variations
- Defining project objectives and oversee quality control
- Acting as contract superintendent/principal's representative, and contract administrator
- Prepare works contracts
You will have at least 10 + Industry experience and hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. Chartered Practicing Engineer would be desirable.
- Strong background in Civil Engineering preferably with a Civil Contractor background
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
- Experience using MS office and MS Project
