As a Construction Project Manager you lead, manage and organize Construction Projects with a high level of professionalism and according to routines, company policies, guidelines and local legislation. You prepare and present budgets and business cases as well as follow-up on cost and suppliers to secure financial transparency. You drive tendering and contracting for your projects and coordinate design, execution and logistics for your projects. Through strong teamwork and clear communication, you secure that relevant stakeholders receive needed information on time.
Key responsibilities:
- Secure, plan and lead project store refurbishment projects.
- Prepare and present budgets and business cases.
- Optimize planning and follow up, drive improvement actions.
- Run projects in line with H&M routines and secure financial transparency for all projects.
- Secure a good communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct tenders, evaluate bids and select contractors.
- Follow up and manage projects to secure deadlines, costs & quality standards.
- Secure that the stores are built in line with the general/local building standards & H&M/portfolio brand design specifications.
- Ensure compliance with project documentation, time schedule, quality reporting project close out and handover.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role as Construction Project Manager, we believe you are a positive and creative individual who enjoys leading and executing retail fit out and refurbishment projects. You are comfortable managing several stakeholders and various projects and tasks simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize, especially in circumstances where you are put under pressure and with tight deadlines. In addition, you have strong communication skills and high sense of urgency, understanding business needs and requirements
What you need to succeed:
- Previous work experience from retail fit out construction and/or similar project management.
- Experience from managing external suppliers and follow-up on contractual obligations.
- Proven stakeholder, supplier, and contract management.
- Good understanding of the field of construction and the ability to identify risks and opportunities in a retail environment.
- Knowledge in MS Office, more specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational, time-management and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in working in a dynamic team and fast paced environment.
- Diploma, degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or Engineering is favourable.
