About the role
- Lead the execution of key clients’ projects involving the construction or extension of roadworks, ensuring adherence to specification and standards.
- Handle diverse project requirements such as culvert structures over obstacles, extensions or sealed road intersections, crossroads, or alterations to existing roads for enhanced approach angles.
- Act as a primary point of contact in the absence of the Project Manager, staying informed about all project aspects and status.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate activities and ensure seamless project executions.
- Apply your expertise in roadworks constructions, including dealing with culvert structures, subterranean waterways, and road intersections.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and project team go address requirements and challenges,
- Stay informed about all project facets, enabling you to make informed decisions and provide updates in the Project Manager’s absence.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to oversee projects, set deadlines, and assign responsibilities.
- Understanding and execution of approved drawings and plans.
- Commitment to ensuring project deliverables meet specified standards.
- Skill in estimating, budgeting, and maintaining financial oversight.
- Effective communication with both customers and internal management.
- Ability to prepare and present detailed reports.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a minimum of 6 years of experience in a comparable role, showcasing proven project management and supervisory skills.
- Possess a qualification in Project Management, providing an additional advantage.
- Hold other relevant qualifications that contribute to the role's requirements.
- Exhibit proficiency in managing the scope, duration, and budget of a project, whether single or multiple projects concurrently.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols, accident reporting procedures, and maintain a commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Possess a robust understanding and practical application of Occupational Health & Safety principles in the workplace.
- Display the ability to successfully undergo pre-employment medical examinations and drug and alcohol screenings.
- Present a current and acceptable National Police Certificate obtained within the past 12 months.
- Previous experience working in a fly-in-fly-out role or DIDO role is advantageous.
