Construction Superintendent Electrical Early Works Copper Project International!

  With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto,  Manila & Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.
 
   We require an Electrical Superintendent to set up construction works and ensure efficient completion of works on a large scale international Copper Project. The Electrical Superintendent  role requires experience in setting up construction systems, liaising with contractors and planning and coordinating early works on a large scale Copper Project.
 
We are entering construction phase on camp, workshops and NPI + underground services, and need an electrical construction specialist to drive to job, manage the quality and motivate the expanding construction team.
 
Minimum 12 months duration with potential for 3 to 5 years.
 
  Responsibilities

• Manage daily work packs and provide supervision / motivation to all Electrical employees and contractors under your control
• Establish quality management systems across construction works.
• Ensure all electrical statutory testing and maintenance is carried out and recorded as required by your appointment
• Accurate and timely reporting of all breakdowns to the relevant stakeholders
• Carry out investigations into electrical incidents and report to the relevant client representatives as required
• Perform hands on electrical work as required

 
Essential Criteria (Mandatory)

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current WA Electrician's Licence
• WA Electrical Contractor License (Nominee)
• Minimum 5 years trade experience
• Minimum 10 years supervisory experience
• Valid drivers license minimum class C, HR advantageous
• High Risk Card - WP, DG, LF, CV
• Construction Card (White Card)
• Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of Electrical work
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical drawings, Schematics and Architectural drawings at a minimum
• Experience in computer based maintenance systems
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Strong leadership skills and cultural understanding of remote work forces
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ideally, experience coordinating local work forces in Asia Africa and / or the Middle East

 
Desirable Criteria
 

• Previous Fixed Plant Experience in remote location
• Experience in construction of early works and underground services
• Certificate 4 in Leadership and Management
• Working at Heights Training
