As part of our growth, we are seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will undertake a key role in ensuring quality objectives of critical earthworks construction activities are achieved. This position is FIFO (or DIDO) on a 2-year project located within an hour of Broome, with an 8:6 roster initially on offer and with the opportunity for future FIFO/ metro works.
Reporting to Engineering Section Lead position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and conduct comprehensive quality control inspections for earthworks and monitor compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage and implement the approved Quality Management Plan, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to maintain high-quality standards and ensure project compliance.
- Conduct audits of earthworks construction activities.
About you:
- Possess recognised tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Demonstrated experience as a Construction Quality Assurance Engineer, with significant earthworks experience on critical infrastructure projects is preferred;
- Proven experience working in a FIFO capacity is desirable, preferably within Western Australia.
- Strong understanding in the application of Construction Quality Management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience with earthworks construction processes and knowledge of local materials, and industry best practices;
- Experience working in the Kimberley region of Western Australia is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct quality control inspections, implement corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
