Noosa Community Training Centre (NCTC) is a small not for profit Registration Training Organisation that has been providing accredited training, employment assistance and other labour market programs for over 25 years in the Noosa district.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced person to work with a team of Construction trainees on community projects in Noosaville and surrounding areas. The selected person will:
- Lead a team of 10 program participants 9 days/fortnight
- Deliver hands-on practical construction skills
- Mentor trainees and assist with transition to work
- Liaise with community groups in relation to basic construction projects
- Schedule day-to-day construction activities
The Person
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience and/or willingness to work with unemployed and disadvantaged jobseekers
- Has experience and/or willingness to work with a range of stakeholders eg. community groups, job active agencies
- Has experience working in the Construction industry - Certificate III in Construction (or equivalent) or higher qualification
- Is available to commence in two weeks
- Has a reliable vehicle to tow provided tool trailer (travel allowance will be negotiated)
