The Role - Construction Supervisor
We are seeking to engage a suitably qualified Construction Supervisor to work within the project team and come on board early to assist with the design and planning phase. You will be involved in the development of the scope and schedule. The ideal candidate will reside in the Portland area as this role is Drive In/Drive Out but accommodation may be provided for the ideal candidate if necessary.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience at Construction Supervisor level & successfully delivering major projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to establish relationships and communicate with ease, at all levels of the organisation.
- Dedication to environment, health and safety in the workplace and the ability to actively contribute to safety improvement initiatives.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Client-side experience
- A resolute commitment to delivering your project safely.
- High-level Problem-Solving Ability
Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor Budget and Schedule and the overall delivery of the construction packages.
- Actively monitor work practices and coach the contractor and their employees to ensure adherence to correct HSE and quality policies and procedure.
- Monitor all construction operations on site, leading the site works through its various stages from commencement to handover.
- Communication of Alcoa’s requirements to all team members and Contractors engaged in delivery of Construction works across the project.
- Ensuring the achievement of Site Safety and Environmental objectives are achieved.
- Review site plans to ensure relevance to the project as construction work is progressed through to completion.
- Understand and assess potential project risks and ensure mitigation measures are adequate and in place.
- Ensuring all (Contractors) works are completed in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of their contract.
