- Classification Range: Specialist Year 9
- Provide high quality evidence based clinical care within the designated scope of practice.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice, and taking a leadership role in policy and process development.
- Lead and manage senior clinicians and junior medical staff in the mental health service to achieve optimum outcomes.
- Ensure patient flow and care is managed in a person centred, effective and safe manner.
- Maintain high performance in recovery based care.
- Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022
- Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia.
- Relevant Specialist experience.
- Relevant track record and experience in clinical management.
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills.
- Leadership and management skills (desirable)
Sector - Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2022-2026 for salary range.
