The Organisation
Statewide Mental Health Services is a key clinical service stream of the Tasmanian Health Service. The service provides Mental Health Services, Alcohol and Drug Services, Forensic Health Services and Correctional Primary Health across Tasmania.

Tasmania’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) encompasses several clinical streams statewide across Tasmania. Clinical Streams include Community, Youth (16-25 years of age), Out-of-home-care children and Youth Forensic Team.

The Job 

• As a Consultant Youth Psychiatrist, you will specialise in one of the CAMHS statewide clinical streams and work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health service team in delivering high-quality mental health care
• You will provide a comprehensive psychiatric service for the assigned CAMHS statewide clinical stream.
• You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills in undertaking supervisory responsibilities with Psychiatric Registrars and other medical staff
• You will participate in an on-call roster and undertake call-back work
• Intrastate travel may be required

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or equivalent
