Your Opportunity 

As a Consultant within the Enterprise Risk Consulting team you will be working with the team in scoping, execution and delivery of a wide range of internal audit and risk advisory projects. You’ll be consulting with clients on how to best to identify and manage material business risks that will protect their reputation and enhance their performance.

Our Risk and Internal Audit team work with clients in the mid-market across all industries and sectors, including a number of ‘for purpose’ entities to provide excellence in enterprise governance, risk management, internal audit, program assurance, and control transformation services.

Risk Consulting is a growing business that focusses on helping our clients understand, manage and oversee their risks, including conduct and regulatory change.

You’ll be joining an intelligent team of diverse professionals and a highly collaborative environment where you will view internal audit and risk management as an enabler for businesses to gain competitive advantage in their respective fields. This will typically involve design and implementation of internal audit and risk management practices through a cost-effective and business-wide approach.  

  • Onsite understanding of key processes, testing of controls and interacting with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions through the co-sourced or outsourced internal audit function.
  • Working with team to assist clients in maturing their risk management processes, frameworks and policies, including assistance in preparation for client, Executive and Board workshops.
  • Analysing the financial, operational and contractual information of organisations to identify risks and propose innovative solutions.
  • Using data to analyse trends, patterns, insights and identify risks in processes.
  • Collaborating with technical subject matter experts from across KPMG to develop fit for purpose risk and control solutions.
  • Maintaining and developing good relationships with clients as well as identifying future opportunities.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce/ Business, Finance and broader qualifications will be considered.
