Consultant/Specialist Palliative Care

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant/Specialist Palliative Care Physician to join a newly redeveloped hospital in a beautiful tropical location.

You will be expected to provide specialist Palliative Care services to patients as part of multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of appropriate patient care. In addition, provide professional leadership within a specialist medical area and provide training, education and supervision to medical students from universities, junior medical staff and other health care providers.The Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS) provides Palliative Care support to inpatients, outpatient clinics and a community program to assist patients and carers in their own home within a 45km radius. Specialist Palliative Care support in other locations is provided by the Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth Service.Your team will consist of a registrar trainee, nurses and allied health staff. You will be able to demonstrate professional leadership within a specialist medical area and make available training, education and supervision to medical students, junior medical staff and other health care providers.The Hospital:

Mandatory qualifications/Professional registration/Other requirements:
General and Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory authority (Medical Board of Australia), and; Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with specialized skills, knowledge and clinical competence in the area of Palliative Care are mandatory and should hold an FRACP in Palliative Medicine or FAChPM.How do I apply?
