The role acts as an expert nurse who will provide leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of Child and Youth Mental Health Care and who will consult on matters relating to safe and appropriate Mental Health Care. Furthermore, the position will formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities. The CNC2 is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and acts as a role model, providing Mental Health Care on a regular basis in community and hospital settings.Are you interested? Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Selection Criteria to be addressed: * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. Ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
- Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in child and youth mental health and post graduate qualifications in child and youth mental health or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence-based research.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, experience in the development of specialty education programs, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems.
- Evidence of consistent demonstration of behaviours that reinforce the CORE values of NSW Health with all stakeholders including colleagues, clients, patients and their families.
