Grounded in storytelling, this role ensures impactful, high-quality representation of Teach For Australia (TFA) through end-to-end content development and delivery across owned and earned channels. It amplifies TFA’s place in the national conversation, building understanding of TFA as a community of leaders working for educational equity.
Researching and writing compelling brand stories and content in alignment to the organisational Brand, Media and Content Strategies is central to the role. This includes responsibility for the development of proactive brand content for pitching to journalists and publications, regionally and nationally – with PR agency support – and cultivation of meaningful relationships with key industry figures to influence coverage.
Please note: This role has the flexibility to be a part time role ( FTE 0.8) or a full-time position (FTE 1.0)

About YouEssential
- Relevant professional experience working in a media or communications role for a not for-profit, government or corporate organisation
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, developing effective marketing and media communications
- Stakeholder management experience
Desirable
- A bachelor’s degree in PR, Media/Communications or Journalism
- Experience drafting clear and on-message talking points and key messages, event briefing documents and other content to support marketing and media opportunities
- Experience in the secondary or tertiary education sector
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector.
