We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Associate to join our Manufacturing Operations team based at Dandenong South.

Working in a growing CI team and reporting to a CI Specialist, the CI Associate will be responsible for employing Lean methodologies to achieve the Businesses Improvement Goals in line with internal compliance and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the CI Associate role is expected to:

  • Participate in safety related activities as requested or relied upon
  • Provide coordination and communication for change initiatives
  • Drive improvement activities that are consistent with the site’s strategic plan and CI operating system, as well as our Vision, Values and Guiding Principles
  • Facilitate training in Continuous Improvement tools and methodology to build CI knowledge and capability across the site
  • Lead or participate in problem solving teams and kaizen events in order to improve operating performance
  • Implement and follow-up on corrective actions identified through improvement teams or other CI activities, such as Gemba walks and daily tiered meetings
  • Provide technical support to achieve the Production Plan as directed by the leadership team
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing data and suggest innovations to reduce lost time in these areas, whilst maintaining compliance to internal and regulatory requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Completed tertiary qualifications
  • Working knowledge of process improvement systems and tools
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all areas of the business with excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to deliver training in small and large groups
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills (especially Word and Excel)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and identify trends etc.
  • An eye for detail, be able to prioritize effectively and work well under pressure

This would be an excellent development role for a person with a production, engineering or science background who has a demonstrated passion for Continuous Improvement of themselves and manufacturing processes.
