Continuous Improvement Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the charge with the SES ~ SIG Excellence System supporting all departments with the implementation and maintenance progress within the System Framework.
• Manage and Coordinate Daily improvement reporting ensuring accuracy and relevance of data, aligned to business needs, and assisting with setting a platform for improvement.
• Manage projects ensuring deadlines and objectives are met/exceeded as identified as part of a Process Improvement review cycle in line with the SIG SES tools and methodologies.
• Provide monthly updates/reports to the entire Adelaide business regarding key projects and initiatives including the CI progression.
• Identify and update the documentation to support changes i.e., SW, WI’s and OPL’s, and other documentation as required.
• Ensure that corrective actions have been developed, implemented, are sustainable and proven effective.
• Review the DAS information (Including Power BI Tools) daily for OEE performance and improvement opportunities.
• Review asset performance ~ Cycle Times, output, uptime etc. and benchmark all technical data with LN and the Costing Model for alignment.
• Foster and support Lean principles using a Continuous Improvement approach (i.e., Kaizen, 5s, Standard Work with SES as the Benchmark etc.)
• Value Stream Mapping for the nominated value streams within the business.
• Collaborate with the Global Continuous Improvement Leads and benchmark ideas and SES progress in other regions.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Higher Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a technical field relevant to a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Black or Green Belt qualification with proven implemented projects.
• Strong change management skills. Ability to build and support a workplace culture that can execute change to meet business objectives, whilst challenging the status quo.
• Demonstrated ability to meet agreed deadlines and commitments within a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Proven verbal, written and presentation skills, i.e., clear, succinct, and concise writing style.
• Proven experience within a “lean enterprise environment” having led Kaizen Improvement events.
