We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Technician to join our team in our modern manufacturing facility located in Somerton, Victoria.

The opportunity
As our Continuous Improvement Technician, you will work closely with our team to ensure our manufacturing line runs efficiently and effectively by providing a focus on quality and Continuous Improvement.
This role is critical to the quality of our products and our ability to deliver them to our customers on time. This role plays a critical part in the optimisation of production efficiency, and the investigation of process problems, whilst driving improvement.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Chemical, Science, Engineering or other Technical fields. We are looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment
- An awareness of problem solving tools and data gathering to support and validate root cause analysis on waste, quality and downtime
- Knowledge and delivery of Lean Methodology
- The ability to conduct internal audits for OpEx programs
- Proven ability to deliver change and drive Continuous Improvement on own initiative by participating in Continuous Improvement activities across sites including cost, quality, environmental, energy and safety
- High energy, is a self-starter with ability to motivate workforce & work in a team based environment, with limited supervision
- The ability to conduct failure investigations/ root cause analysis and co-ordinate the problem solving process
- Team building experience with evidence of collaborative approach
- Good computer literacy including Microsoft applications
- Good communication skills at all levels, internally and externally
- Motivation, is proactive; and is willing to accept a challenging environment
