About the Role
We are looking for a Contract Administrator for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to work from our Eagle Farm office in Brisbane, providing commercial and contractual support during the performance of the Jwaneng project to ensure it achieves successful outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interpreting contract documents ensuring compliance with the contract terms and making recommendations for action including the documentation of agreed changes.
- Providing a level of guidance and advice to relevant project stakeholders, both internal and external, on the operation of the contract.
- Lead the contract administration function working closely with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with contract obligations.
- Prepare and submit commercial notices and claims (including variations, delays, etc) including performing technical analysis and preparing the required evidence documents.
- Support the project manager with the preparation of the head contract payment claim and processing of subcontractor payment claims.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project registers for the contract and subcontracts.
- Assist in documenting and monitoring sub-contractor management processes ensuring subcontracts are appropriately linked into the head contract.
- Assisting with the management and tracking of key procurement packages.
- Ensure compliance with Redpath’s Management Systems and the relevant statutory Regulations.
- Present for work satisfying the requirements of Redpath’s “fitness for work” standards.
- Strict adherence to the Redpath’s Philosophy, Guidelines for Success, Code of Conduct and Cardinal Rules.
To be successful, it is envisaged you will have:
- A practical background with sound contracting knowledge in either the mining, construction or building industry.
- Experience with FIDIC beneficial.
- Experience with dealing with Government/large resource companies would be beneficial.
- Experience in contracts administration and working for mining and/or construction projects.
- Excellent commercial acumen skills.
- Experience in subcontractor agreements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in either engineering, quantity surveying or law are preferable.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Work and Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Project would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- High level written skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Involved in the process of identifying and raising potential risks or issues.
- Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
