Albany Fencing Contractors is seeking a full time permanent Contract Administrator to join our growing team.
About the role:
As Contract Administrator you will be responsible for the following tasks including but not limited to:
- Responding to enquiries for new projects
- Communicating to all staff various projects induction procedures
- Inspecting new projects and preparing necessary paperwork
- Negotiating project terms and terms and conditions with customers and suppliers
- Overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders
- Managing paperwork associated with contracts and projects
- Preparing and reviewing submissions and reports concerning the organisation's activities
- Working with, owner, foremen, contractors, staff and other professionals to ensure that project deadlines are met
- Preparing plans and drawings, selecting materials and scheduling construction
- Draft contractual correspondence for approval
- Resolving contract disputes effectively.
- Prepare tender packages and contractual documents
- Develop and maintain systems and procedures which ensure financial, commercial and contractual performance
- On site visits and job finalisation assisting team where necessary and quality control.
Requirements
- Resume with cover letter highlighting experience in a similar role.
- A minimum of 4 years experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in interpreting site plan and experience in positioning and marking.
- A valid white card or the ability to obtain one
- The ability to monitor progress on work sites and communication to all related parties with regards to progress.
- The capacity to resolve conflicts and negotiate favourable terms will be highly valued
- The ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
