The Role
The Contract Manager sits in our Procurement team and is focussed on analysing markets, building market intelligence, and developing and implementing action plans to ensure best practice contract management practices.
Some of the things you’ll work on include:
- Actively manage multiple programmes from contract award through effective and ongoing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
- Lead the pre-qualification process for contractors and consultants including maintaining a pre-qualification database and coordinating the technical, financial, legal and performance assessments of applicants.
- Coordinate the suite of TasWater contracts including panel arrangements, including the financial assessment of tenders and contractors.
- Coordinate contract and contractor reviews and oversee and report on contract performance.
- Develop and oversee systems and programs to establish or enhance the capability of TasWater to effectively manage contracts and contractual relationships.

Experience in the following will be beneficial:
- Experience in contract management, including implementing strategies, negotiation, and assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and systems
- Experience leading a team and building a high performing culture.
- Experience in overseeing contract management budget allocation and monitoring expenditure so that accurate and appropriate spending is achieved
- The ability to review and develop contract management policies, guidelines and resources
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience, particularly in conjunction with onboarding new suppliers.

The Details
This is a full-time position providing an opportunity to work from primary sites in Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport, and attracts a salary of $134,000 - $152,000 (inclusive of superannuation) dependent on experience.
