HIA Learning provides practical training for a range of Building and Construction trade qualifications. With more than 2000 learners nationwide, we are seeking Perth based qualified trainers and/or assessors to provide our learners with those extra tips and tricks that can only be gained from someone who has 'been there, done that'. Your years of industry experience and training expertise will set our offering apart from the rest. We are actively seeking talented and engaging trainers and/or assessors that: Know the ins and outs of state legislation and compliant building contracts. Can manage all aspects of a building site. Can practically apply codes and standards. Have a fundamental understanding of safety and quality management initiatives. Know how to budget plan and forecast. Are keen to apply environmental and sustainable practices. The successful candidates must be adept with virtual training delivery modes, have well developed communication and student engagement skills, be open to continuous improvement, and maintain compliant assessment and marking standards. This role is an opportunity to educate and upskill industry practitioners to apply their knowledge of structural principles, codes, standards, and legal requirements across residential and commercial, small to medium sized building businesses, and to plan and supervise safe and economic Building and Construction works. Key responsibilities include: Delivering regular evening virtual tutorials. Marking and submitting assessment results according to HIA policies and procedures. Providing objective student feedback. Delivering support sessions (as required) to assist with student learning pathways. Providing objective feedback on course resources. Participating in HIA Learning’ formal validation process in the pursuit of continuous improvement. Participating in regular VET and Industry professional development, as required, to maintain currency as an approved Trainer/Assessor. Ensuring the quality and consistency of all training and assessment complies with HIA’s Registered Training Organisation requirements and the Standards for RTO’s 2015, regulated by ASQA. The successful applicant will require: Relevant Building and Construction qualifications (CPC50220 / CPC40120 / CPC40320 or higher). Relevant qualifications in Training and Education (Current TAE40110 / TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher). Well-developed administrative, communication and technical skills. Experience within the Building and Construction (or related) industry. The following would be advantageous, but not mandatory: An understanding of the VET sector and training packages, particularly the CPC Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package 05/09/19.
