Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
Reporting to the Superintendent Contractor Management, this key role will be responsible for ensuring contractors are complying with the Contractor Management procedure at Stanmore Poitrel Mine.
You will be responsible for building capability and accountability within the Commercial team for Health and Safety with contractors engaged on site.
As Contractor Coordinator you will:
- be a key point of contact for contractor management process.
- manage the Contractor Management System to ensure contractor’s pre-qualification compliance for site.
- assist and mentor department personnel with implementing the requirements of the Contractor Management System processes.
- guide the onboarding process for contractors including pre-requisites, site access and required competencies.
- maintain and monitor the contractor compliance, including in-field audit completion, data records, appropriate actions and communications.
- build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- provide safety management support to actively assist in reducing incidents for sitewide contractors.
- identify and monitor compliance with relevant Stanmore Poitrel Mine policies, procedures and Queensland Coal Mining legislative requirements.
To be a success, you will have:
- Understanding of QCMSH legislation within the Queensland Coal Mining sector.
- Certificate in RIIPRM501E Implement, Monitor, Rectify and Report on Contracts highly desirable or willingness to complete
- Excellent administration and record keeping skills.
- Experience in the coal mining or similar heavy industry.
- Confident in liaising with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure compliance to the site’s Safety & Health Management System.
- Flexible approach to work and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in MS Office Suite highly desirable
