Project Overview
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Engineer, we are seeking aContracts Engineer with reimbursable contract experience on major onshore / offshore LNG developments.
Project scope includes:
- NNM platform, which includes dry trees, processing facilities and associated utility systems
- Five production wells with subsea wellhead system tied back to the NNM platform.
- 26-inch export pipeline, approximately 165 km long, which ties into existing infrastructure.
- Subsea integration system connecting the export pipeline system with both the offshore platform and downstream processing facility, comprising risers, subsea isolation facilities, pipeline inspection gauge receiver and associated control system
Duties and Responsibilities:
Main Contract Administration:
- Assist the Contracts Lead and the project team to ensure adherence to the requirements of the main contract.
- Assistance to Contracts Lead with preparation, issue, negotiation and settlement of claims and variations.
- Preparation and negotiation of final account with client representatives
Subcontract Administration:
- Assist with the Project Execution Plan, including a detailed subcontracting and procurement plan.
- Updating the subcontracting plan to ensure that key dates within the master project schedule are achieved
- Preparation of reimbursable contracts subcontracts, incorporating the requirements of the main contract.
- Preparation of invitation to tender packages and subsequent evaluation and negotiation of contracts. in conjunction with Project Engineers.
- Evaluation and agreement of subcontractor interim progress claims.
- Assessment, negotiation and agreement of subcontractor variations and claims.
Cost Control:
- Forecasting of cost at completion for major subcontractors and suppliers.
- Forecasting of final project revenue.
- Verification that subcontracts costs to date, accruals and commitments are accurate.
Procurement:
- Ensure the terms and conditions of the Purchase Orders meet the requirements of the head contract
- Where necessary, assisting Purchasing/ Procurement with the negotiation of commercial terms
What Experience Do You Need?
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or relevant similar discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Contracts Engineer / Specialist, working within the LNG or energy sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
What are we offering?
- Negotiable rate – Estimate $90 - $105ph plus super
- 40 hours per week
- 2 day per week WFH flexibility
