Project Overview
Reporting to the Contract Manager, we are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer with substantial reimbursable contract experience on major onshore and offshore LNG developments.
The project is situated in Northwest WA, with the scope including:
- NNM platform, which includes dry trees, processing facilities and associated utility systems
- Five production wells with subsea wellhead system tied back through rigid concentric tubulars to the NNM platform and completed with dry trees.
- 26-inch export pipeline, approximately 165 km long, which ties into existing infrastructure.
- Subsea integration system connecting the export pipeline system with both the offshore platform and downstream processing facility, comprising risers, subsea isolation facilities, pipeline inspection gauge receiver and associated control system
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diligently manage high value owner relationships.
- Develop an expert understanding of the reimbursable Head Contract and manage all contractual matters relating to the contract.
- Prepare a detailed risk assessment, including rights and obligations, as well as a risk and opportunity analysis of the Head Contract.
- Develop and drive appropriate contractual strategies to mitigate contractual risks, ensure profitability and protect rights of remedy for claims and variations.
- Proactive and timely management of contract variations, ensuring all internal stakeholders are engaged in the identification, preparation, negotiation and execution of any claims.
- Manage subcontractor engagements, specifically focusing on preparing and overseeing reimbursable contracts, including welding, piping, access trades, PIF, labour hire.
- Monitor key deliverables under the Head Contract and associated risks and opportunities in the event of deliverable failure.
What Experience Do You Need?
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or relevant similar discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Senior Contracts Engineer / Contracts Lead / Contracts Manager working within the LNG or energy sectors.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing reimbursable contracts in the offshore or subsea industry sectors, including managing variations, disputes, negotiations and claims.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
