With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
About the Role

The Control Chemist position will suit someone who is self-motivated and doesn't require close supervision. Previous related experience is preferred but not essential. This role works on a continuous shift roster (days and nights) included weekend work and some overtime may be required.
The role is primarily responsible for performing routine analysis for Molasses & by-products. The incumbent will also be expected to conduct other analysis as required. Accurate data must be entered in a timely manner as per a required schedule. These positions are also responsible for performing checks on laboratory equipment and systems, cleaning, and maintaining records.

- High level of computer literacy
- Excellent time management skills
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Team Work - work effectively within a team
- Ability to achieve competency in a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills
