The Company: Join a global IPP/Developer with an established presence in Australia. This company has several renewable energy projects which have recently completed construction and are moving into operations and maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Remotely monitor energy assets from the Control Center in Canberra in compliance with AEMO, National Electricity Rules, and safety requirements.
- Monitor asset performance and condition, recognizing deviations and reacting promptly to incidents.
- Coordinate actions with Remote O&M Control Rooms and Site Managers to address warnings, un-availabilities, and under-performance.
- Ensure compliance with energy targets and Generator Performance Standards.
- Execute remote changes based on instructions from the Market Operator (AEMO).
- Analyse data from SCADA systems and act on power plant controls as per regulations.
- Communicate with Regional and Site Managers for work coordination and incident notifications.
- Engage in real-time communication with AEMO and Transmission network service providers.
- Record and report operational incidents.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure contractual terms are met.
- Perform daily reporting and performance analysis activities.
- Maintain appropriate records in the Control Room Logbook.
- Contribute to procedure development related to Control Room activities.
- 2 years of experience in control and monitoring positions.
- Basic knowledge of generation plant operations, preferably renewable
- Basic knowledge of the Australian energy market.
