Job DescriptionAs a
Control Systems Engineer at Omada, your impact will be in the design, testing and implementation of SCADA and PLC based systems for rail related projects. You will utilise your specialist knowledge to deliver technical guidance to signalling teams to contribute to the successful management and delivery of projects for clients.
In this role, you will:- SCADA and PLC development including design, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, and configuration.
- Software development including design, implementation, testing and documentation.
- Development of system technical and user requirements.
- Development of system architecture and integration.
- Reviewing and verifying software and system requirements, design, implementation and test documentation.
- Develop and research systems related to railway Control Systems.
- Assist in the tender process for medium to major sized projects.
QualificationsIdeally, you will have 3-5 years of relevant experience with
Control Systems from a utilities, rail and/or power industry background. In addition to this, you will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar)
- Experience in system and software design, development and testing, ideally within rail, utilities or power industries
- Experience with general-purpose high-level programming languages (.Net / C# / Java / Python)
- Significant experience in PLC programming, SCADA design and development, commissioning and testing
- Knowledge of Desktop and Server Operating Systems, hardware, and networking
- Understanding of document and design control processes, system lifecycle processes (IEC 15288) and the software development lifecycle
- Experience with distributed systems and integration
- Knowledge of Australian railway standards and guidelines preferred
- Understanding of rail concepts and operations ideal
- Strong planning, organisation and problem solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
