Conveyancer/Conveyancing Lawyer

We need to add another person to our award-winning property team.

The role in a nutshell

You will run be responsible for settling approximately 20-25 files per month, running files independently from beginning to end. Option to work from home unless you are required in the office (which is rare as we witness stat decs and do most VOIs online).

Since 2013, we’ve been finding ways to make the law easier for busy people. We practice in conveyancing, wills/estates and family law– all the legal needs that spring up as you start to build a nest for your family.

In addition to doing amazing work with our clients, here’s some other things that we are really proud of:

• We are always trying to come up with new cool ways to do things and have won heaps of innovation awards, including being crowned Australia's most innovative conveyancing team in the PEXA Property Innovation Awards.
• Our Principal Lawyer is an Accredited Specialist in Property Law and mentors everyone in the team.
• We edit the Conveyancing chapter of the Law Handbook and regularly speak and do podcasts on conveyancing topics
• We run a Facebook group of 1300+ innovative Australian lawyers trying to do law differently
• We are often asked to speak to the legal profession about best practice in building a fabulous firm culture.

You in a nutshell

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for helping people buy homes. You have a warm personality, a detail has never escaped your attention, and juggling many balls at once is your specialty.   

Here is a bit more about you:

• You know your stuff – You have previously run your own conveyancing files from beginning to end autonomously and you have at least 3 years experience in residential and off-the plan conveyancing;
• You are always happy to help - Nothing is ever too much trouble. Explaining the first home concession for the third time? Extend a finance clause AGAIN? No worries! You’re a positive and upbeat person, and will go the extra mile to keep our clients happy;
• You love being part of a team – If you see a colleague struggling to get a settlement through, you’ll jump on the phone and help them out. If you are struggling, you are cool with asking for help.
• You have great ideas – You love coming up with new ways to make conveyancing better for our team and clients - we all meet each week to brainstorm new ideas to make the law better;
• You are tech savvy - we need someone who is comfortable using technology in all aspects of their work.
• You closely align with our values - this is something that we will explore together throughout the recruitment process.
