AddressDella dale Aged Care is seeking a passionate and organised Aged Care Cook to join our supportive team on a part-time basis, with an immediate start!
Duties & responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced, and appetizing meals for consumers, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
- Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Adhere to menu plans, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Accommodate special dietary needs, including allergies and medical conditions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain appropriate documentation.
Experience & attributes:
- Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in an Aged care or healthcare setting.
- Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
- Current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (Mandatory)
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with elderly consumers and enhancing their quality of life.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
