About the role

There is an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Chef/Cook Grade 3 (Commi Chef) at this beautifully presented waterfront venue at Bundall.  This is an exciting time to be part of a totally revamped and refreshed establishment on the Gold Coast. 

Gold Coast Tavern boasts a sophisticated, modern and stylish design, which incorporates top quality fixtures and fittings. The position on offer is a casual position, working to a roster which will include nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Must be trade qualified and hold certification in Commercial Cookery (i.e. minimum Certificate III)
• Must have minimum two (2) years post qualified experience
• Ability to perform in multiple sections (i.e. larder, pizza, fryer etc.)
• Previous high calibre hotel bistro or restaurant experience, is essential
• The key success in these kitchen roles, is a genuine passion for producing great food, coupled with excellent organisational and time management skills, a positive attitude, reliable and committed individuals with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in fast-paced environment.
• The candidates must be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays, working to a seven (7) day roster.
• Available for an immediate start.
