The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Canteen Cook/Supervisor to manage our junior school canteen in Marion on a Permanent Part Time basis. The successful candidate will join one of the fastest growing catering companies in Australia. We offer family friendly hours, training and support. Reporting to the Site Manager, your role is to ensure our junior school students are served freshly cooked, healthy meals in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere with excellent food service and quality. 

Roster (During School Term Time): 

• Monday to Wednesday 8:00am - 2:30pm

• Thursday & Friday  07:30am - 3:00pm (with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts if required).

What This Role Involves:

• Cooking lunch orders for our junior school students

• Ordering & stock control

• Food preparation (e.g. peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches & salads)

• Friendly customer service

• Washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas

• Maintaining food hygiene, security and safety practices

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a canteen or cafe environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to organise work with other team members and take direction

• Reliability and availability for various days and hours

• Motivated and enthusiastic

• First class food safety practices

• Ability to comply with OH&S and food safety practices

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak service periods
