Role Overview
Join the hospitality team at Woodcroft and McLaren Vale!
This role offers variety. Depending on the day, you'll serve as a Cook or Assistant Cook, preparing and delivering nutritious meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring efficient operations.
Responsible for the preparation, serving and delivery of appetising, nutritious meals and beverages to meet the requirements of Kalyra’s residential aged care residents.
- Must adhere to safe handling, cleaning, and usage of kitchen equipment in accordance with Accreditation and HACCP standards
- Comply with the site Food Safe Program
- Ensure economic and efficient operation within the catering division.
About the Person
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
- Possess a working knowledge of kitchen processes and food service techniques
- Possess or be prepared to learn relevant skills and knowledge of provisions of food to elderly residents
- Good customer relations skills and commitment to providing quality service and implementing continuous improvement
Apart from this, we ask that you have the following:
- Certificate II in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Operations or similar discipline would be highly preferred however, it is not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
- National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- 3 x COVID vaccinations
- Influenza 2024 vaccination
- A current drivers licence
Must live close to Woodcroft and McLaren Vale or be willing to travel
