Position: Transport Coordinator and Administration (Approx. 25 hours per week)
We are currently seeking a skilled and adaptable Transport Coordinator and Administration professional to join our clients team. This role offers flexibility, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic transport company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with commercial customers and private sector stakeholders, understanding their business requirements and expectations.
- Efficient Communication: Manage emails and phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Booking Management: Accurately enter bookings into the computer system.
- Subcontractor Support: Liaise with and provide support to subcontractors.
- Job Allocation Coordination: Assist in coordinating job allocations for subcontractors and fleet control.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle data entry and other administrative duties.
- Forklift Assistance: Be willing to assist with forklift work when required.
Skills and Experience:
- Transport Industry Knowledge: While advantageous, it is not necessary.
- Calm Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift License: Beneficial, but a willingness to obtain one is acceptable.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer systems.
- Friendly and Helpful: Maintain a pleasant demeanor for phone interactions.
