Full-time, fixed term (12 months)
Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30pm
Based at The Arches in Port Adelaide
Work closely with the Manager to oversee daily operations of the Bail Accommodation Support Program and coordinate service delivery through staff supervision and client intake

Who are we looking for?

The Arches is a Bail Accommodation Support Program (BASP) which provides short term accommodation for alleged offenders on bail who lack accommodation as an alternative to being remanded in custody. The BASP is designed to replicate community living and is close to transport links, essential services and court precincts. Residents are accommodated in one of 30 self-contained accommodation units in a purpose built facility in Port Adelaide (staffed 24/7. Support is provided to residents to maintain links to family, employment and other services whilst transitioning to long term accommodation.

We are seeking an experienced community services professional to manage referrals and relationships with stakeholders, as well as provide supervision to staff in daily activities. The successful candidate will be someone with strong interpersonal skills, make assessments on participant suitability, as well as ability to maintain consistent service delivery through documentation and development of processes.

What can you expect to be doing?

Provide supervision of the team that supports a positive work environment.
Undertake assessment of referrals to the program to determine suitability if engaging with potential participants.
Proactively establish and promote relationships through referrals and engaging with stakeholders such as lawyers and the Department for Correctional Services.
Manage and resolve issues and complaints and escalate where necessary.
Assist in the development and documentation of process and procedures.

What do you need to bring?

Tertiary education in community services or other relevant discipline or demonstrable experience in related field/sector
Experience in service coordination, intake and referral is highly desirable
Experience providing staff supervision and leading teams is highly desirable
Proven ability to build constructive relationships, work in partnership and manage conflict with colleagues, community members, key stakeholders and local service providers.
Proven ability to develop and effectively implement feedback, evaluation mechanisms and formal and informal debriefing processes which involve key stakeholders.
