Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of this position under Section 50D of the WA Equal Opportunity Act.This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment for six months at 45.6 hours per fortnight (up to 0.6 FTE), with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.VCID No. 887090Position Profile:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic person to join our Consumer Engagement team at Perth Children's Hospital in the role of Coordinator Consumer Engagement.The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, development, management, implementation and evaluation of Aboriginal Consumer Engagement strategies, frameworks and initiatives to assist in the achievement of departmental, organisational, strategic and operational goals.Reporting to the Director Consumer Engagement, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and report on progress towards organisational goals within the area of responsibility.
  • Provide consultancy support, guidance and leadership to staff on Consumer Engagement initiatives.
  • Implement and coordinate mechanisms to achieve effective consumer participation in planning, publication and resource development, education and training and analysis of consumer feedback.
  • Manage advisory groups, networks and other Consumer Engagement mechanisms.
  • Monitor significant trends in consumer feedback and leads the implementation of quality improvement and client safety initiatives.
  • Develop, review and deliver education and information used in staff development programs on client-centred care, consumer value and engagement, and customer service principles.
