Coordinator Logistics and Customer Service

  • Location: Darwin
  • Status: Full-time ongoing

About the Role

Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Regional development team in the Coordinator Logistics and Customer Service role you will support the regional logistics team in the planning and implementation of meetings, this includes working closely with internal stakeholders in the scheduling of meetings, completing logistical plans for a meeting events including, venue hire, travel arrangements, accommodation, catering, vehicles and equipment.

This position will provide a high-level support and will include a variety of duties and responsibilities procedures and practices and advisory services.   Opportunities will also present where this role will proactively assist the team and drive a people focused service model and support the ongoing improvement of our staff engagement and workplace culture.

What you will Bring

  • Diploma in Logistics or Work Health and Safety, or equivalent or at least a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in successfully implementing project/program management activities, with an ability to strategically harness resources to effectively plan, coordinate and manage activities.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify, work through and resolve logistical issues or problems to ensure meetings and projects are delivered successfully on time and within budget.
  • An excellent Customer Service ethos that supports you building strong and effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to undertake regular remote travel in a manual 4WD vehicle or light aircraft.

In addition to this, you will have: -

  • Understanding of the Aboriginal Land Rights (NT) Act 1976 and other legislation relevant to the land interests of traditional owners and Aboriginal communities, as managed by the NLC.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and interest in, the lived experiences of Aboriginal people in the NLC region.

  • This position is classified under our Enterprise Agreement at SOGB, with a commencing base salary of $110,763 per annum.
  • In addition to base salary, you will receive:
  • 14% superannuation;
  • District allowance starting at $2,539 per annum
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,724;
  • Generous leave entitlements such as 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave, and paid Christmas close down;
  • Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 and additional Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
