About the role:
As the Service & Insurance Coordinator at Hostplus, you'll spearhead the end-to-end management of superannuation insurance claims, prioritizing superior customer service. Reporting to the Claims team with a dotted line to the Super Hub manager, you'll actively contribute to both functions. Your main responsibilities include efficiently managing claims, ensuring positive relationships, and participating in team meetings and training. This role combines technical expertise, customer service excellence, and a commitment to regulatory compliance, making it a key driver of success for both the Claims Team and SuperHub Light office. About you:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Claims:
- In-depth knowledge of superannuation and life insurance products, claims, and relevant legislations.
- Proven case management and claims assessment experience.
- Proactive service focus with strong relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve complex Death & TPD claims.
- Proficient in monitoring insurers and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
- Strong claims administration background, including managing declined claims and complaints.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of a Trustee's role in determining death benefit entitlements.
- Ability to handle escalated situations with composure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex information.
- Proven experience in customer service or call centre, preferably in financial services
- Ability to understand and explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with effective prioritization.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of superannuation, insurance, or advice models is advantageous.
- Friendly, caring, can-do approach to work is a must.
