Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station.Your role at St John of God Subiaco HospitalUnder the direction of the Director of Strategic Projects and Capability, leads the development, implementation, promotion and operation of Volunteer Services and programs across Subiaco hospital. Ensure the delivery of an effective and high quality Volunteer Service which supports patient care and experience. Coordinate the recruitment, marketing, administration and development of the Volunteer Service and liaise with key stakeholders, particularly internal Managers.The PositionLeads the development and promotion of meaningful and high-quality volunteer programs.Develop key relationships and appropriate infrastructure for Volunteer involvement in the Hospital.Develop, implement and evaluate an annual operational plan for Volunteer Services, to ensure effective outcomes for patients, visitors, volunteers, caregivers and the broader community.Coordinate the recruitment, selection and orientation process of all volunteers in accordance with accreditation and legislation requirements.Develop, implement and evaluate job design/position descriptions and volunteer performance review and development systems to support the SJGH Subiaco Volunteer Program and comply with Volunteering Australia and Volunteering WA standards.Ensure the volunteer Code of Conduct and the Expectations and Responsibilities of Volunteers are upheld and action taken as appropriate.Identify and address risks associated with volunteer positions and take necessary action.Maintain a register of Volunteers and identify volunteer functions.Update and maintain the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.Prepare and process budget and maintain accounting records.You will have strong communication and conflict management skills, with an ability to work independently and exercise good judgement, and ability to deliver sound outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders.To succeed you will possess demonstrated administrative skills and experience in the recruitment, training, support and coordination of Volunteers, with sound computer literacy, including the ability to use word processing and spreadsheets.
